Your arrival in Prague
The wedding date is September 4, 1999, which is a Saturday. Since the wedding ceremony
is scheduled for 1 pm, it would be best if everybody arrived in the area on the day before, rather than on Saturday
morning, since the trip from Prague takes about 4 hours. The plan so far is for everybody to
arrive in Prague by Friday morning, September 3, and travel
together from there. We are determining the best way to get people from Prague to the wedding
location and we want to make sure that the trip is smooth and comfortable.

Schedule for the wedding weekend
|
Friday, September 3
Afternoon: Transfer from Prague to the wedding location
Late afternoon / Early evening: Arrival at the wedding location,
check-in at the hotel
Evening: Dinner hosted by the groom's parents at a restaurant in
the area where both families and the wedding guests will be able
to meet and spend a relaxing evening. The attire will probably
be casual, but nice (no ties, jeans or tennis shoes).
Saturday, September 4
Morning: Breakfast/brunch at the hotel, transfer to the wedding ceremony
1:00 pm: Wedding ceremony, followed by a return to the hotel where the reception
will be held
Afternoon and beyond: Wedding reception (food, drinks, dancing, singing, fun)
Sunday, September 5
Since many of you will probably
either have to leave for Prague to catch a plane or have other travel plans arranged, we believe that it will be best if people are on their own schedule on Sunday.
Some of you might be interested in taking a tour around the
castle where the ceremony will have been held, or visit other places in the area.
Please contact Jeff & Dana if you have any questions
or need help planning your travels.

Accommodation
at the wedding destination
|
We
have reserved some rooms at the Hotel Zámek Chudobín, where
the wedding reception will be held. The hotel is nice,
comfortable and very affordable. It is set in a quiet area
and surrounded by a park. The hotel consists of two
buildings. The “Citadel”, where accommodation is
arranged, was built in 1595 and has recently been
restored. The “Castle”, last restored in 1847, is
where the reception will take place.
Since we are arranging the weekend accommodation for
everyone, we would appreciate it very much if you would give us
your initial idea as to whether or not you will make it to the
wedding and if so, how many nights you think you would want to
spend at the hotel. Your answer would not be
binding. It would only help us decide how many rooms we
should reserve. A response card is enclosed for your
convenience.
Approximate prices (breakfast included):
Single: $50
Double: $55
Triple: $60
Suite $70
Half-board: $8 person/day
Full board: $14 person/day
Equipment and facilities: Pool, Jacuzzi, workout room,
massages, tennis courts
Activities: Horseback riding, fishing, game hunting (the wedding
couple kindly ask you to refrain from performing this cruel
"sport")

Weather
Early September weather in the Czech Republic is generally very nice, with temperatures somewhere in the
70s (20s in Celsius). You can experience unusually clear, blue skies on the bright sunny days of Indian Summer. However, mornings and evenings can already be chilly or even foggy and there is always a chance of a cold or rainy spell.
Children and Pets
Both are welcome at all the events! (We’re kidding about the pets…)
